Successful Surgery For Original BREAKER Vocalist

April 17, 2008

Original BREAKER singer Jim Hamar has undergone surgery for "vocal cord fold polyps" and is said to be at home recovering. The recovery and rehabilitation time will extend through the entire summer.

"Dr Mournay said the surgery was a complete success, and I have three pages of instructions to follow to begin my recovery," says Hamar, who had the operation done in a Cleveland-area hospital. "No real pain though. I have a discomfort that feels like I have something caught in my throat, but I can deal with it. Time to turn the page and start the long road back!"

As a result of the surgery, Hamar was forced to cancel his special reunion performances with BREAKER this summer at the Bang Your Head!!! festival in Balingen, Germany. With Hamar's support and backing, current BREAKER vocalist Greg Wagner will replace him and all performances will go on as scheduled.

Once back to full health, Hamar would like to do something special for BREAKER fans with the band to make-up for the canceled reunion. He also plans to begin recording with NIGHTCRAWLER.

Upcoming BREAKER live performances:

June 14 - Cleveland, Ohio - Jigsaw Saloon
June 26 - Hechingen, Germany - Bang Your Head!!! Festival Warm-up Show
June 28 - Balingen, Germany - Bang Your Head!!! Festival

BREAKER lineup:

Greg Wagner - vocals
Don Depew - guitar
Michael Klein- guitar
Nick Giannakos - guitar
